Santi's New Car

During the day, Joel and I snuck off to Toys R' Us.  We had been looking for something to push Santi in while we walked with Chris to school.  We built it and when Chris came home from School, he was having quite a bit of fun with Santi, so was I though.  Santi was laughing so hard, he got the hiccups.  You can see that big smile on his face that shows it all.

The 2nd Grade

Chris' first day of 2nd grade!  He was so thrilled that his 2 best friends would be joining him.  To the left is Jordan and to the right is Derek.  His teacher this year is Ms. Harley, which I might add is a fantastic teacher and Chris speaks very highly of her and always has very nice things to say about her as a teacher.  He as many other friends he is making this year, but nothing could top having these two guys in his class.

Cesar Daniel Vazquez III

Please welcome...Cesar Daniel Vazquez III.  He was born on July 31st, 2008 to my cousin Cesar Vazquez and his girlfriend Maribel Hernandez.  I was such an emotional mess!  I just started to think of how my cousin, sister and I would play on the weekends and now look at us, all grown up with kids.  He is so cute and little, I can't believe how quickly they grow up.

Swimming

Chris took swimming lessons this summer.  He learned so many different strokes, his favorite were the dolphin kick and butterfly.  He was really into the Olympic swimming and was so inspired when he would watch Michael Phelps.  I hope that we can keep up with the swimming and maybe he will be working at the swim center one of these days.

Getting physical

Well, today is Monday and every Monday is the day to start getting things done!  So, I started off the morning kind of sluggish (nothing new).  I took Chris to his swimming lesson and came home and just started thinking of how I USED to be in shape.  So, when Chris asked me to go and play tennis with him, I jumped to the occasion.  We played 30 minutes of tennis, it was mainly running around after a small ball that was bouncing all around the court.  Chris really enjoyed himself and that just made my day, the fact that his mom did something excited and physical with him.  Then later in the afternoon, Joel and I took our pledge to one another to the next step and we finally got our behinds into the gym.  We worked out for about an hour and man am I out of shape!  As a family we are really starting to get back to our old healthy ways, I think that Bolo (the family lab) is finally getting back into shape.  I'll have to put up photos of our progress, so stay tuned for daily updates of all the great and wonderful things we do as a family.  We maybe boring to some people, but I love my family and that's all that matters!!!
